I seriously think that Don, Bernie and Randy should get together and tour...the real Eagles fans will be able to show Henley and Frey we are no mugs, we know who the good guys are...

As a (very) long time guitar player, I dearly love the Eagles, and I dearly love them even more when Don's elegant, tasteful, intelligent and soulful playing graces the songs. I love the new Eagles double album, great songs, brilliant production and some really interesting guitar sounds. But I can't help thinking how much better it would be with Don's guitar. The players that have been brought in to fill the Felder gap, live and on recordings, are technically excellent players, but it simply doesn't have the same feel and sound.

I woz gobsmacked when the new Eagles album Long Road out of Eden was released and there were only four of the members on the cover. Where was my darling Don - the one who can pick a guitar like no other. The one with the dextrous fingers on Hotel California. I've since caught up on the gossip and whilst it seems to be resolved now I just wanted to say, like the others in this blog... we love you Don. I know that I miss your cheeky grin as you're plucking those strings. Once your book is released in Kiwiland I intend to buy a copy. All the best. xx

Having read Dons book I was sorry to discovered that Don, Joe and Timothy ended up as Henley and Frey's backing band - I saw the Eagles perform last year in Cardiff South Wales with a Nashville session guy playing Don's parts - it was a play by numbers exercise, lacking Don's passion and beautiful touch. The show was also spoilt by Glen stopping the show to ask the security guards to stop fans from taking photos - fans who had paid good money to see their idols! - guys get over it!

Just finished the book. Great read......but a sad realization regarding the inner-workings of the band. I'm glad things have worked out for Don, but it is evident that he misses playing with the rest of the guys, even though I'm not sure that it would actually be worth the trouble.

Another thing that is evident, is what's missing from the Eagles latest release. When there's no Don.......there's no REAL Eagle sound. This I cannot forgive.

I have just about finished your book. This is the most I have read since I left school about 17 years ago, I just can't put it down.
I think I can say on behalf of most people on here that, you may refer to Henley & Frey as The Gods, but to me, YOU are GOD as far as Guitarists. I have spent many a night studing the licks/chops that you have blessened the airwaves with and look forward to learning more of your music.

I 'm an italian fan of the GREAT Don Felder. Just one question: When will his book available in our country? I'm looking forward to read the TRUTH and kick Henley's ass!!!!!!
