It’s day three of the Bob Hope Classic Pro-Am, where this year both the weather and Don’s team’s score have been fabulous.
Don’s group is currently in a tie for seventh place out of 128 (!) amateur teams. The secret is definitely the new shades.
Don begins play at the Bob Hope Golf Classic tomorrow and, this year, he’s been paired with golf pro Matt Kuchar and actor Joel Gretsch.
The pro-am foursomes consist of a professional golfer plus three amateur players. To make spotting a favorite actor, sports hero or television personality easier, each round puts all of the celebrities together on the same course. Don and the other musicians teeing off this year sure make for a great jam band, namely Steve Cropper, Alice Cooper, Tommy Thayer, Steve Azar and Danny Saraphine.
Don’s returning to his home-away-from-home, otherwise known as the Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, ON, for three shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 12-14, 2011.
He’s apparently got the folks there wrapped around his playing fingers. It’ll be his third consecutive three-show gig in Niagara Falls within a year-and-a-half.
We’ll keep you posted once tickets go on sale.
Another year is drawing to a close, and instead of the usual “Felderfans Year in Review,” the editor, blind with optimism, has chosen to look forward to a newsworthy New Year. Spoiled over the years by our thorough investigative journalism, this site’s readers may find here one or more of the following front page headlines starting in January:
Alice Cooper’s Christmas Pudding review at AZcentral.com. Tons of photos from the evening in the accompanying slideshow.
We think you’ll agree it was one of the most unorthodox lineups ever assembled on a stage, but hey, Alice has a reputation to live up to.
