It’s gonna be really cool in Cleveland over the weekend.

Don storms in to town on Saturday to perform at the Autism Speaks “Rock Til It Stops” benefit in support of the organization’s local autism awareness initiatives. Part of the event’s fundraising is a silent auction which includes bidding on the chance to play the tambourine on stage along with Don and the band the very same evening.

Tom Petty has rescheduled ten early dates of his summer tour, originally set to begin on May 6. The reason for the postponements, as explained on his official web site, is a delay in the release of his forthcoming album MOJO (now June 15.) The band “regrets” the circumstances and hopes ticketholders “can make the rescheduled dates.”

This is not sitting well with the fans, many of whom have vented via the comments on the band’s site. Sure, the tickets will be honored at a later date, but not every fan lives adjacent to the venue. Some have to schedule vacation days and buy seats on planes and hotel accommodations. Imagine that.

TOTO AND CSN APPEARING TOGETHER AT HOHENTWIEL FESTIVAL IN GERMANY!

Former members of TOTO will reunite for a one off European tour in support of Mike Porcaro, who is suffering from ALG (Lou Gehrig Disease). The lineup: David Paich, Steve Lukather, Steve Porcaro, Simon Phillips, Joe Williams and special guest Nathan East. At present the dates include shows in Austria, Germany and Denmark.

We’re doubly excited about this since they will be joining Crosby, Stills & Nash at this year’s Hohentwiel Festival in Singen, Germany (July 15 & 16.)

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have posted tour dates. It all starts May 6th in Raleigh, NC along with Joe Cocker. Several shows in August are scheduled with Crosby, Stills and Nash. They’ll also gig with ZZ Top at Summerfest in June.
