The charity golf tournament supporting the Danny Thompson Memorial Fund started today and continues through tomorrow.
Don returns to Sun Valley this week to participate in the Danny Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament (Aug 19-21). The event, created in honor of former Minnesota Twins/Texas Rangers player Danny Thompson in 1976, amassed an amazing $10 million last year, all of which went directly to funding leukemia research.
He’ll “warm up for the golf” by playing a benefit concert prior to the tournament on Wednesday, August 18 at the Sun Valley Pavilion. As of this posting, tickets are still available, with special VIP premium seating including a pre-concert cocktail meet-and-mingle with Don.
More information about Danny Thompson and the tournament via mtexpress.com.
