Veterans Day Jam

Don’s in Williamsburg, VA for tonight’s James River Jam fundraiser. He was caught rehearsing together with JD Souther, with whom it’s noted he’ll close the show doing Heartache Tonight, the Grammy-winning Eagles tune Souther helped co-write.

James River Jam 2011

Don, J.D. Souther, John Oates and Sam Rush will be among the performers at the James River Jam, a special fundraising event at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA coming up on November 11. The concert is presented by Busch Gardens and Tempus Jets of Newport News.

Proceeds will fund organizations involved in children’s and young adult education.

There are several VIP ticket packages available as well as individual concert tickets. A limited amount of complimentary tickets will be made available to the local military stationed in the Norfolk area. Complete information at jamesriverjam.com. More press here.

Play in the Howard Keel-Don Felder Golf Classic

Interested in playing in this year’s Howard Keel-Don Felder 25th Golf Classic?

The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 11 at the DeVere Carden Park located outside of Manchester, U.K. Three-player-teams can register to play 18 holes as a foursome with a celebrity captain. Included in the package are refreshments, lunch and the gala dinner and evening’s entertainment.

The 2011 Keel-Felder Golf Classic benefits the free 24-hour child and youth hotline ChildLine. For registration and information go straight to the NSPCC event registration page.

Don Driving Thru Pacific Northwest

Don will participate in two charity golf events coming up in July.

The Courtnall Celebrity Classic has raised in excess of $2 million for the Victoria (BC) Hospitals Foundation and the Archie Courtnall Centre in support of mental health programs. This year’s event will be held at the Victoria Golf Club in Victoria, BC, from July 22- 24. The tournament was established by former National Hockey League players Geoff and Russ Courtnall and their brother Bruce. Past celebrity participants have included NHL legend Wayne Gretzky and actor Kiefer Sutherland. More information at their expansive event website.

KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer hosts the Pacific University Legends Golf Classic in Aloha (near Beaverton) OR on July 31 – August 1. This exclusive two-day event includes dinner, auction and celebrity concert. Proceeds benefit the university’s student athletes. More details at the tournament website.

ProAm Tomorrow, Don’s Show Sold Out

Don begins “play” tomorrow, May 19th, both on the course and on the stage at the BMW Charity Pro-Am. He tees off at the Thornblade Club in Greer, SC along with actors Terry O’Quinn, Andy Buckley, Lucas Black, Bruce Greenwood, Oliver Hudson and Patrick Warburton and fellow musician Colt Ford.

Don’s “Evening at the Hotel California” show tomorrow at the Peace Center Amphitheater in Greenville is already sold out. Tickets are available at the gate ($25) for Don’s performance on Saturday, May 21 in Spartanburg’s Barnet Park. Javier Colon will open that show.

Don is also a part of Friday’s special event at the Peace Center Amphitheater featuring the BMW Charity ProAm celebrity participants. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
