This just in: Don will make a special appearance on Saturday, June 5, at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles, benefitting the Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
This special “Evening at the Hotel California” will begin at 6 p.m. with self-guided tours of the Grammy Museum followed by a cocktails on the beautiful outdoor Target Terrace overlooking the L.A. skyline. Guests will be treated to a “mini-concert” featuring Don in an intimate theater setting in the Museum complex beginning at 7:30. Afterwards, during a dessert and coffee reception, Don will be available to meet and sign autographs.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime event,” says university President Larry Ryan. “There will be only 200 tickets available to the public at $300 and $500 each.”

 Rock with Don in Cleveland Don will perform a benefit “Evening at the Hotel California” on Saturday, May 1, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland in support of Autism Speaks. The annual event raised over $150,000 last year for the organization’s national and Cleveland’s local autism initiatives.
Don himself is also being recognized as a 2010 Honoree.

Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night or show dates a million miles away can keep Don from the swift completion of his appointed rounds.*
The Bob Hope Golf Classic week gets under way Monday with the first practice days preceeding the Celebrity Pro-Am on January 20-22.
 Hope-ful The tournament organization aims to make this year’s edition the most communicative ever. It recently gave the event’s official website a facelift and is targeting a youthful, media-obsessed golf generation via a Facebook page and Twitter account. All that and the usual Golf Channel TV coverage means there’ll be no shortage of updates for fans on the entire planet.
It’s Don’s third consecutive go at it. He and the other celebrity amateurs play the same course together on each day, making it easy for spectators to zero in on their favorites.

Don will return next month for a third year as a celebrity amateur participant in the 51st Bob Hope Classic Pro-Am scheduled for January 20-24, 2010.
The popular tournament takes place in the southern California Coachella valley region and attracts many of the best players in professional golf. Over the course of five decades the event has raised nearly $50 million for local charitable organizations.

As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, there’s a new Killers single cover version of Hotel California out hogging the airwaves in Europe this week.
The latin-tinged take was recorded in support of Artists Project Earth (APE) and is being heavily played to coincide with the Global Climate Change Conference which begins next week (Dec 7-18) in Copenhagen. The song will serve as the “soundtrack” to the conference.

 Click on Don to view his foursome in action Golf enthusiasts and generous guests helped raise close to £30,000 for the Christie Hospital in Manchester this past weekend at the annual Howard Keel-Don Felder Golf Classic.

Don’s in the U.K. this weekend, hosting the traditional Keel-Felder Golf Classic. As in the previous two years, the DeVere Carden Park Hotel and Golf Resort near Chester will stage the charity event on Sunday, September 6. The first foursomes hit the fairways early and don’t stop swinging until shortly before the cocktails, gala dinner, auction and entertainment top off the day’s festivities.
