Don Felder Concert at Casino Niagara
My wife and I saw Don in concert Sat. night at the Falls View Casino in Niagara Falls. What a show !! He was terrific! His voice was excellent. Way better than I imagined it would be. I should know better than to underestimate this guy! I think the real problem with Henley and Frey was that they wanted to keep him in “check.” I think they were worried about him getting “too good.” Again, if you get a chance to see him in concert do so. You won’t regret it!

Don Felder at the Spotlight 29 in Coachella
My wife and I saw Don last Saturday at the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, California. As expected, he rocked the joint! The rest of the band was REALLY good too. Of course, all the Eagles/Felder tunes were great and Don’s guitar work amazing, but an unexpected treat was Don performing covers of “Pride and Joy” by SRV and “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder…the band really brought the house down with those two surprises.
Now Don should not turn into a “cover band”, but doing a couple cover tunes was fun and added a little variety to things. I was a little surprised that he did not do his tune “Visions” off the One of These Nights album and there were other Felder tunes from various Eagle albums that did not make the “show list”, but I guess you can’t play them all…again, overall a GREAT show!

Great concert on April 11th!
I attended Don’s concert at the casino in Indio, CA, on April 11th. It was a great show. Lots of aisle dancing near the end. But I thought the sound mixer had way too much bass amps as it drowned out Don’s voice in most of the songs. If you listen to an Eagles song, the drums are very quiet so all the vocals can be heard. I hope you can pass this on to Don.
