Check this out: Part of the event's silent auction includes bidding on the chance to play the tambourine on a song together with Don and the band during the evening's show.

What's more: you could even take home the guitar Don plays, signed, sealed and photographically delivered!

We think this is the footage Alessandro wanted to post. Like Louie says in the interview, we just Googled him and found it.

When I hear the name Louie Shelton I always think of Seals & Crofts. He played along with them and produced their records. That's him in this video playing the jazzy guitar solo in "Diamond Girl."

Does anyone know the name of the song Don Felder sang that he said the Eagles used to sing before the show to warm up to and ended up on one of the live albums?

Saw Don Felder last night in Harris, Michigan. It was combined with Grand Funk Railroad, which was originally why we bought the tickets. I have to say, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised at the great show put on by Felder and the great musicians he had with him. As the previous post, the harmonies were great, the music flowed well, and we were given a great show.

I saw Don at Fallsview Casino last weekend. He sang lead on all songs, the vast majority of which were Eagles hits. I was shocked at how good he sounded. I had no idea he sang so well. The band was tight and they delivered flawless harmonies and background vocals.

Unfortunately Don did not play any newer material from his solo works and the show was a little short at about 80 minutes, but it was well worth attending.

Hi All, I so hope Mr Stills comes to Bakersfield, home to Merle Haggard and our beloved Buck Owens. I can see the marquee as it reads "STILLS ALONE, A MAN AND HIS MUSIC" that would be so very great especially if he came to the Fox Theater. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Will see him in Santa Cruz but wish I could make it to the treasured Fillmore. What a busy busy bee, This proves there is still fire in the furnace. Bravo!!

I love GL. He's led a remarkable life. Maybe the greatest storyteller/songwriter ever. He's over 70 years old now and still performs live on tour, despite practically having stood on death's door a few years back. He is one of few performers in my mind who in their prime could sing and simultaneously play guitar flawlessly. And he still accompanies himself, along with the same backup guitarist (Terry Clements) and bassist (Rick Haynes ) he's been performing with forever.

Gordon's also a charter member of my Facial Hair Hall of Fame. If you could read my mind, Gord, it'd be sayin' man, that mid-70's Sundown-era beard just oozed sex!

This is one of my favorite Lightfoot songs. Listen to how the guitars pick up steam just like a locomotive.

Red Shea was Gordon's lead guitarist here. (He also did the guitar work on Gordon's hit recording "If You Could Read My Mind".) When I die and come back to life as a fingerpicking-style guitar player, I hope I'm the reincarnation of Red Shea.

Mr. Felder,

I'm a 53 year-old business owner (healthy food company started with my friend Graham Kerr, the former Galloping Gourmet) who has dreamed of playing guitar with a band all my life. I play a little now, and as I'm not getting any younger, it's time to go for my dream.

A few other guys my age who are rank amateurs have committed with me to practice nothing but Eagles songs together (my favorite band, of course), and our goal is to duplicate as much as we can how you guys did it. My part is to be you!

So here's the question: Can you recommend a guitar course for a would-be lead guitarist who wants to imitate Don Felder as much as he is able? There are a lot of courses online, but I need to avoid false starts and get right to the best help to learn. Hey -- I'll send you free healthy meal packages monthly in return! (www.daybydaygourmet.com)

Thank you for your significant contribution to our culture,
