Waukesha a Wash Out?

The Waukesha County Fair’s headline double-billing featuring Don and Grand Funk Railroad is scheduled for tonight, however, the entire southeastern region of Wisconsin has been suffering through some severe weather over the past 24 hours. A similar situation including heavy rain, high winds and potential flooding was forecast for today.

We’re huge fans of open air live concerts but draw the line before band members are electrocuted by soggy guitars or knocked out by flying stage debris. On the other hand, the organizers stand to take a beating financially in a situation like this, so much so that the Waukesha County Fair issued this press release asking the community for their support despite the storms.

Here’s hoping the weather holds for Don’s show. If you’re attending and manage to hang on to your camera, we’d appreciate a re-cap and photos.

Don moves on to play a public benefit event at the Epic in Minneapolis tomorrow evening.
